Timetable Studio is a digital service: the moment you generate a full timetable on a paid plan, the core value of the Service has been delivered. Our refund policy reflects that reality — it is designed to be fair to honest schools that change their mind early and firm against abuse. Please read it carefully before paying.
1. Free Trial
Every new school starts on a 14-day free trial with no payment required. The trial includes full access to all features for evaluation purposes; however, the generated timetable is partially masked and exports are disabled — this is intentional, so that you can evaluate the quality of the Service before paying without obtaining its full output for free.
You can use the entire 14-day window to evaluate the product. If you do not subscribe within the window, your school is moved to a read-only state until you choose a paid plan.
2. Subscription Plans
Paid subscriptions are annual only. We offer three tiers — Starter, Growth, and Pro — sized to different school sizes. Tier limits and pricing are listed on the pricing page and on every checkout screen. All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR) and exclusive of applicable taxes.
3. Cooling-off Window — 48 Hours, Strict
We honour a 48-hour cooling-off window for new subscriptions, subject to the following condition:
- You have not generated a timetable on the paid plan. Once a timetable has been generated and the full schedule has been revealed (unmasked) on the paid plan, the core value of the Service has been delivered and the subscription becomes non-refundable.
- The request reaches us within 48 hours of the payment timestamp shown on your invoice.
- The request comes from the email address registered to the school account.
Where these conditions are met, we refund the subscription in full, minus any non-recoverable payment-gateway fees (typically 2–3% charged by Razorpay), within 5–10 business days.
4. After 48 Hours or After First Generate — No Refunds
Once any of the following has happened, the subscription is non-refundable for the remainder of the annual term:
- 48 hours have elapsed since payment, or
- One or more timetables have been generated on the paid plan, or
- Any timetable has been printed, exported as PDF, or dispatched to teachers via the notification features, or
- Substitute notifications have been dispatched via the Adjustments feature.
This is a strict policy and we apply it without exception. The full 14-day free trial exists precisely so you can verify the Service meets your needs before paying.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. Cancellation prevents future renewal — it does not retroactively refund the current annual term. Your school retains paid-tier access until the end of the period you have already paid for, then moves to a read-only state until you renew or upgrade.
We do not charge cancellation fees. We do not bury the cancel option or require you to email us to cancel.
6. Plan Changes Mid-Term
You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time — we charge the prorated difference for the remainder of the current annual term. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal; we do not refund the difference for the unused portion of a higher tier.
7. Failed or Disputed Payments
If a payment fails or is disputed through your bank or card issuer, we may suspend access to paid features until the dispute is resolved. Fraudulent chargebacks are reported to Razorpay and may result in permanent account termination.
8. Exceptional Circumstances
At our sole discretion, we may grant an exception to this policy in genuinely exceptional cases — for example, a documented service outage that prevented use of the Service for an extended period, or a billing error on our side. To request an exception, email team@timetablestudio.com from your school account, with a clear description of the situation. Routine remorse, change of management at the school, or "we didn't end up using it" are not exceptional circumstances.
9. How to Request a Refund
Email team@timetablestudio.com from the address registered to your account, within 48 hours of payment. Tell us:
- Your school name and the email on the account
- The Razorpay payment ID from your invoice
- A short reason for the refund (optional)
We aim to acknowledge requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
10. Anti-Abuse
We monitor for patterns of abuse such as: creating multiple accounts to chain free trials, paying for one cycle, generating and exporting timetables, then requesting a refund. Schools or operators identified as abusing the Service may be denied refunds, denied future service, and reported to Razorpay as applicable.
11. Price Changes
If we change subscription pricing, you will be notified at least 30 days before your next renewal. The new price applies only to the next renewal — you will not be charged retroactively. You may cancel before the renewal if you do not wish to continue at the new price.
12. Governing Law & Contact
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the seller’s registered location. For any question, write to team@timetablestudio.com or use our contact page.
