Welcome to Timetable Studio (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Timetable Studio website (timetablestudio.com) and the related software-as-a-service application (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, accessing the Service, or paying for a subscription, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
Timetable Studio is a cloud-hosted scheduling platform for schools. It helps administrators build conflict-free class timetables, plan substitutions, manage teacher workload, share calendars and events, and communicate substitution assignments with teachers.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when registering, including a valid email address.
- You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials used to access your account and for any activity that occurs under it.
- You must promptly notify us of any unauthorised access or use.
- Each school account is intended to be used by the administrator(s) of that school. Teacher logins are provided via passwordless email links and scoped to that teacher’s data only.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise extract source code or non-public data from the Service.
- Upload content that infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or violates applicable law.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages or to harvest contact information of teachers without their consent.
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.
4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trial
- Free trial. New schools may use the Service on a 14-day free trial with full feature access. During the trial, generated timetables are partially masked and exports are disabled to allow evaluation of the Service without delivering its full output. No credit card is required to start the trial.
- Paid plans. Paid subscriptions are offered in three tiers — Starter, Growth, and Pro — sized by the number of classes and teachers a school operates. All paid plans are billed annually in advance in Indian Rupees (INR), via the payment gateway integrated in the Service. Monthly billing is not offered.
- No auto-renewal without consent. Annual subscriptions do not auto-renew without your explicit consent at renewal time; you will be notified before renewal.
- Price changes. We may update pricing for future billing cycles. We will give you reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days) of any price changes that affect a renewal.
- Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes (e.g. GST). Where required, taxes will be added at checkout and shown on your invoice.
5. Refunds
Our refund policy is described separately in our Refund & Cancellation Policy and forms part of these Terms.
6. Your Data
- You own your data. You retain all rights to the information you upload to the Service, including class lists, subject configurations, teacher details, and generated timetables.
- We process your data solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any personal information about teachers or other individuals, and for informing them about how that information is used.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Google Firebase (authentication and database), Google Cloud (compute for the scheduling engine), and an integrated payment gateway. By using the Service, you also agree to the applicable terms of those providers as they relate to your use of the Service.
The Service offers WhatsApp and email notification helpers that generate pre-filled messages or open your default mail client. Timetable Studio does not send these messages on your behalf; you remain the sender and are responsible for the content you choose to deliver.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen outages may occur.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Timetable Studio and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay for the Service, or use the Service in a way that risks harm to other users or to us. On termination, you may export your data for a reasonable period before it is removed from our systems.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective” date above and notify you by email or via the Service. Continued use of the Service after the update means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi, India.
